Try changing the setting in the machine (ATH) press F2, try to make the value lower

Hi
The reason why you have long tails, is because the picker stays in the forward position to long while the machine is preparing to trim the thread. Tara is correct, you need to find the setting on your machine that controls the amount of time the picker stays in the forward position before it moves out again.
Good luck

The TMEZ doesn't have a picker. Neither does the TMBR. I get some long tails too, so I am wondering what is best to look into. Sometimes I get zero tails and then on the same job I get tails again.

on my TMEX-1501 and TMFXll-1506 I adjust the upper tensioners on the threads rack, short tail, loosen, long tail tighten
