Happy new year.
Does anyone know about this feature?
I clicked 'T' after Text . Mouse showed this symbol. I want to know what is this and how to use this

I tried clicking T after laying out a line in the text tool and got the same mouse symbol. But like you, I have no idea what it does and couldn't find an answer in help. Curious.

It is "Auto Trace" feature. It helps to create outlines from image files (png, jpg, etc). You can use it either with Pen tool or other embroidery creation tools. For example you can first try it with Complex Fill. Place an image on the background, then select Complex Fill, then press T, then a small window will pop up (it is for the settings of trace), then click to a coloured area on your image. Software will trace that colored area and it will try to create outlines of that section. Then confirm the outline by pressing Enter. The feature may work better with with solid colour images (such as company logos).

In DG17, after pressing "t", this symbol no longer appears:
"Pen" should be selected.
It gives an error - "No picture to auto-trace".
Ctrl + T is the shortcut for rotation.

I meant that in DG17, there is no such issue as there was in DG16. Now, it gives a message that you have to load a backdrop image. This was in continuation of the conversation above, as it seems to have been a bug in DG16.
