Bug Reports
instability and crash issues

Good morning,
I am experiencing stability issues with the software. I updated to version dg17 believing that the issues would be resolved, but I am still experiencing the same issues and have encountered new ones as well. In short, the software crashes for no apparent reason. It closes suddenly and randomly, even when all other software is closed and there are no drawings open. I find it closed suddenly, or it closes suddenly when I move the mouse pointer. The same thing happens when I am creating a logo and move it a few millimetres; sometimes it crashes suddenly. The software does not give any error warning, it just closes. When working on complex logos, it takes a long time to generate the points. I have also noticed that when I finish working on some designs and the programme remains open but with no designs loaded, and I open the Windows Task Manager, the running executable ‘DG17.exe’ remains with a lot of memory occupied. It has even happened that 16GB and 22GB of data were loaded into memory even though the software had nothing loaded, but if I close the software, open it again and load even 10 complex logos, it does not saturate the memory in this way. I honestly do not know what is causing this, and, sometimes, although rarely, I have received an error message saying ‘Out of Resources’ and the interface goes haywire, with the interface fonts changing to a ‘Windows 3.11’ style and almost all the buttons and windows disappearing.
I have formatted the PC several times and reinstalled the software several times, but the problem persists. The only improvement is the spooler design, which is faster and more responsive than before.
The PC's hardware requirements are:
Lenovo ThinkStation P920: 2 Intel Xeon Gold 6154 @ 3GHz CPUs (36 cores x 2) 128GB DDR4 RAM Nvidia P4000 8GB GPU 2TB SSD + 4TB HDD DVD-RW TPM 2.0 OS: Windows 11 Pro
DG17 Artist Plus
All updates are installed.
I kindly ask if you could assist me in resolving this issue, thank you.
