Digitizing software offers some great multimedia technology through machine attachments. Beautiful designs can be created using effects like coiling, taping and cording. Coiling, taping and cording are unique embroidery effects created using special embroidery heads that are operational with a limited number of machines. Users can easily create these multimedia embroidery techniques using a simple run stitch, and special machine commands, saving hours of manual effort.
Coiling Coiling is a method to display three alternating threads by winding two kinds of coiling threads around a core thread. This technique can be done at different intervals to create unique looks and textures. An embroidery thread, core thread and coiling thread are sewn together using a machine attachment. Your embroidery machine head twists the upper thread and lower fiber/yarn together to create the unique coiling stitch.
Taping A taping effect refers to the attaching of fabric tape or yarn on fabric using a machine attachment. This creates a new and stunning type of embellishment. There are a number of different attachments that can be selected to deal with a wide array of materials.
Cording Cording is exactly as it sounds, creating a rope-like stitch that gives a unique look and feel. Cording requires a specific attachment and the machine commands are defined from inside of your embroidery software.
Users can control machine parameters from within their software instead of on the machine panel, which saves time and reduces errors. No longer do users have to create detailed stitch editing or manual set up to handle mixed machine commands. Taping, coiling and cording designs can be created easily from outline segments as long as the proper software and machine attachments are in place.
