My ribbon interface has disappeared

I use to have a ribbon interface but now it is gone along with my top bar commands....Running DG16 Composer

Go to Tools, Configuration, User settings, Customize setting,
Open Environment, Display page.
Check Use ribbon interface.
Restart DG.
How is the result?

The top ribbon which has all the settings etc has disappeared and I dont know how to get it back. ie there is no help button or list of user settings
How can I retrieve this
Just installed DG16

*****Update****I called in and we had to do a reg edit because a windows update effected the software.

Thank you for the response....Custoer service walked me through a reg edit...windows update caused the problem but thank you your help...very kind of you
