Hi -
When my computer goes "to sleep" for awhile when Tajima DG17 is open, and I wake it up, the program gives me a message saying "Please Connect Security Device" and then the program shuts down. My security device is definitely attached ....

Hi,
We are sorry for your inconvenience. Here are two recommendations: 1) Make sure your hard disk does not go to sleep 2) make sure all Windows updates are up to date
If the issue persists please let us know. In that case please reply with : OS version DG Version (including build number) Power settings
Thank you

I have the same problem with "Asking Security Device" time to time, not often, but it happens.

I would recommend either disabling the sleep mode function or increasing its interval. Since I disabled sleep mode, I’ve had no issues with connecting the security device at all!

Its a temporary solution. They have to fix it.

If the hard drive turns off during the computer's sleep mode, this cannot be fixed—it’s a characteristic of Windows sleep mode.
Neither the author nor you have clarified whether your computer’s hard drive shuts down during sleep mode. If it does, I recommend either disabling sleep mode, increasing its interval, or disabling the hard drive shutdown setting.
Keep in mind that sleep mode often disrupts the functionality of certain programs. This isn’t a temporary fix—it’s the best and most reliable solution for this situation.

I never had this issue with the DG16 device, so why am I experiencing it with the DG17? I also never encountered this problem with the Wilcom security device.
