Hello.
I think it would be great to have a button that will evenly distribute items. For example, if you created a row of stars, you would select them all and click a button that would make the spacing between them all even. I find I need this quite often and have to manually calculate offsets at the moment.

Under 'User Settings'->Text there is an option to hide old fonts or show all. Once show all is selected there should be a drop down box below the font in the properties window that lets you select either new, old or true-type fonts |

Hot Keys intercepted when DG16 isn't in focus

Hello.
If I try to use a hotkey in another program whilst DG16 is running it will capture it and it won't work in the program I am using.
Some examples are Ctrl + 0, Ctrl + Shift + V. It seems DG16 will catch hotkeys even if it isn't the focused window.

Thanks for the tip. I was experience hard crashes with no errors or warnings daily. Turned off the ribbon interface and haven't had a crash for days.
It is a real shame as I find the ribbon makes life a lot easier but not worth it with all the random crashing. |

To reproduce problem create the string "iii" using Signature Script New or Custom Script New.
Connection type: Closest point
Turn on inside trims set to always trim. There is a connecting stitch from the dot of the i.
Worked fine in previous version.
Didn't test any other fonts.

I have tried modifying the segment settings and have inside trims set to always trim.
I have attached an image of showing my settings and the problem.
It worked fine in the previous version.

I have the following bugs with the latest version
1. If I select multiple objects and align them it deselects them all except the last selected one. It used to keep them all selected in previous versions. This is annoying as I often want to move them all together once aligned.
2. If I try to resize an object and the corner is near a guide it will move the guide instead of resizing. The cursor changes to the resize one before hand but it looks like guides take precedence.
3. Holding Shift when duplicating objects make them appear in the wrong position.

Custom Script New uppercase i

The shape of the uppercase i has changed in 16.5.0.7616
All the other uppercase letters are the same. Is this deliberate?
I can no longer match existing designs using that letter.
I have attached an image. The one on the left is the old and the new on the right.

Bug fix release

Hello.
Is it possible to get a release to address the current bugs that have been reported.
It is nice to get new features but every release seems to introduce new bugs with them.
At the moment it is a matter of picking which bugs you can live with and use that release.
It would be great if the was a bug fix only pass over the code so we can get a hotfix without waiting the usual 6 months between updates.

Any word on a bug fix release for 16.5.7616?
It has been over 9 months since some of the bugs were reported but no fixes yet.
It seems like every new version introduces some new features and either adds new bugs or breaks things that were working.
At this stage there is no stable version and it is a matter of deciding which bugs you can live with and using that version.
A purely bug fix release to address known issues would make using the software so much better.

Moving individual characters in multiline text too many times causes a hard crash to desktop.
If I break it up into single line text it works without issue |
